Glenville, W.Va. – The GSC Lady Pioneer softball team dropped a double-header on the road Saturday afternoon at UVa-Wise.

In game one, GSC only managed three hits as they went scoreless in the game while UVa-Wise finished with six hits a scored seven runs in the win.

Mackenzie Smith, Raven Greer, and Cassidy Taylor all had hits.

Miranda Cropp pitched 4.1 innings allowing three hits and two runs.

In game number two, the Lady Pioneers held a 6-3 lead after five innings. UVa-Wise then came up with a big sixth inning as they scored four runs as they went on to claim the second game 7-6.

Glenville State finished with nine hits and committed three errors while the Cavaliers had 10 hits in the game and committed one error.

McKenzie Edmonds went 2-for-3 with an RBI while Mackenzie Smith went 2-for-4 with three RBI's and scored two runs.

Glenville State (8-16, 3-5) will return to action this Wednesday, March 29^th when they travel to West Virginia Wesleyan for a double-header with the Bobcats at 4:00 p.m.
