GSC Volleyball Drops Two Games at Rebich Investment Invitational

Edinboro, Pa. – On Saturday afternoon the Glenville State Lady Pioneer volleyball team dropped two games in the Rebich Investments Invitational hosted by Edinboro University.

Glenville State (1-3) dropped the first match of the afternoon to Lock Haven, 3-0, and then fell to Edinboro University, 3-0.

In the first matchup for the day, the Lady Pioneers would fall to the Lock Haven, 3-0 (25-15, 25-11, and 25-23).

Glenville State tallied 26 total kill but also committed 26 errors while Lock Haven total 35 kills and committed just 14 errors.

​​​​​​​Skylar Mace led GSC in kills with eight on 24 attacks to go along with a solo block. Bailey Brawner had six kills and eight digs. Jazaray Clark-Casto finished with five kills. Clark-Casto, also had a team high two service aces.

Ai Miyazaki led GSC in the digs with 15 while Madison Gargus he a team high in assists with 19.

Lock Haven was led by Breanna McDonald and Veronica Morrison as they both finished with nine kills each.

In the second game of the day, the Lady Pioneers dropped three sets to Edinboro (25-20, 25-21, and 25-15).

​​​​​​​Glenville State had 31 total kills in the match while Edinboro finished with 46 total kills.

Bailey Brawner had a nice game as she finished with a game high 17 kills to go with eight digs. However no other Lady Pioneer had double digit kills. Ai Miyazaki led the team in digs with 16 while Madison Gargus led GSC in assists with 26.

​​​​​​​Edinboro was led by Megan Screptock as she tallied a team high 13 kills on 29 attacks.

​​​​​​​Glenville State (1-3) will return to action next Tuesday, September 4th when they travel to Salem University for a tri-match with the Tigers at 3 p.m. and then Rio Grande at 5 p.m.
