Glenville, W.Va. – The Glenville State volleyball team fell to the Bobcats of West Virginia Wesleyan College on Tuesday night as the Lady Pioneers dropped their second conference game of the season, 3-1 (22-25, 25-23, 25-23, and 25-20).
Glenville State (5-6, 1-2) had 59 kills and 29 errors in the contest while West Virginia Wesleyan (4-10, 3-0) finished with 55 kills and committed only 17 errors.
The Lady Pioneers took the first set 25-22. However, that would be the only set GSC would win as the Bobcats won the last three sets, 25-23, 25-23, and 25-20 as
the Lady Pioneers fell, 3-1.
Bailey Brawner had 16 kills to lead GSC to go along with 12 digs.
Skylar Mace finished with 13 kills and had three block assists. Also
Jezaray Clark-Casto chipped in with 11 kills while
Madison Gargus finished with 49 assists. Â
GSC only had two service aces in the game while WVWC had five on the night.
Anaya Hyman had a game-high 17 kills while Ebonie Hicks finished with 13 kills.
Glenville State (5-6, 1-2) will hit the road this weekend as they travel to the University of Charleston on Friday, September 28
th for a 7 p.m. matchup with the Golden Eagles.
