Glenville, W.Va. – Lady Pioneers take three straight sets against the Tigers of Salem University pushing them to 3-18 on the year, (25-23), (25-15), (25-17). This is the third match that GSC have beat Salem within the season.
 
In the first set, the Lady Pioneers would trail early before battling against the Tigers, point by point before taking the match 25-23. In the set Karlei Shaver and Jyra Clark-Casto would contribute five and four of the 16 kills in the set.
 
In the second set, the Tigers would try to fight against the Lady Pioneers taking the early lead. However, the Pioneers would regain momentum by adding eight straight shots including three kills and a service ace by Shaver.
 
In the third and final set, Sophie Shifferly would carry out the Lady Pioneer momentum with two service aces as Shaver would add another four to the set. Seana Stump would contribute seven kills with the help of Shifferly.
 
Clark-Casto and Stump would grab 11 and 9 kills, respectively.
 
Hannah McKown would dig out 13 digs in the match.
 
Kerri Arbuckle, Clark-Casto, Stump and Shaver would each have an assisted block.
 
The Blue and White will return to the pitch to continue their road series at Fairmount State University, Tuesday October 29^th at 7pm. The Fighting Falcons come into the match 10-12 on the year and have defeated the Lady Pioneers in their last four match ups.
