Glenville, W.Va. – GSC Women's volleyball fell on the road to the Senators of Davis &Elkins College in straight sets. The Lady Pioneers fall to 3-20 on the year (25-11), (25-16) and (25-21).
In the first set, the Senators would gain an early 15-6 lead before falling 25-11.
Karlei Shaver and
Skylar Mace would each have four kills in the set, along with Hannah Mckown digging four digs.
D&E would continue their momentum in the second set with 6 straight points before the Senators would have two attacking errors to maintain the lead 6-2. D&E would extend their lead 18-5 as Shaver would have the first Blue and White kill in the set. McKown would help regain control with a service ace and setting up D&E with attack errors. D&E would then take the set 25-16.
In the third and final set, the Blue and White would go back and forth with the Senators in a 7-6 battle until D&E regained control at 14-7. Mace and Shaver would have the only four kills in the set as D&E takes the set 25-21.
Shaver and McKown would gather eight and nine digs respectively.
