Glenville, W.Va. – The Lady Pioneers hosted the Golden Eagles of University of Charleston in MEC match up forcing four sets before falling 3-1 (25-22), (25-20), (25-20) and (25-18).
Karlei Shaver would have another Double Double with 17 kills and 15 digs.
Charleston grabbed an early 8-3 lead before the Lady Pioneers made a slight 8-10 comeback reducing their deficit to two points. The Blue and White took their first lead of the match at 16-14 until the Golden Eagles come back to answer at 18-17.
The set would go back and forth at 21 all before the Golden Eagles made separation to take the first set 25-22.

UC would continue to their momentum into the second set gaining an early 5-1 lead. The Lady Pioneers answered back to trail by 1 at the 5-4 mark. Mimicking the first set, both teams continued to chip away point by point as GSC trailed 23-20 before falling 25-20.
Mirroring the two previous sets, each team would tally back and forth as GSC gained the first, two-point lead at 10-8. UC regained control at 14-13.
Chase Cooksey added the second Blue and White solo block of the match with a 17 all overall score. The Lady pioneers would make separation to take the set 25-20.
The Golden Eagles eager to take the set quickly jumped on the Lady Pioneers 6-1, but Cooksey and Hanson return with blocks trailing 7-5. UC extended their lead 16-8 before taking the set 25-18.
Mace lead the Blue and White with 20 kills, following Shaver at 17.
Hannah McKown adds another 11 digs.
The Lady Pioneer will travel to Athens, W. Va. to face off against Concord University Tuesday November 12
th at 7pm
