The Pioneers come off a victorious night against Fairmont State University 125-111 to place the Blue and White first in the conference. GSC improved their record to 8-2 overall and 5-1 within the MEC.
 
Salem University fell to Slippery Rock University earlier in the week, 69-72 sitting at 4-6 overall.
 
In the last meet between the schools, GSC pulled through with a win 76-75 in 2017.
 
Pioneer Highlights
 
The Pioneers lead second in both offensive rebounds per game and scoring offense within the division at 16.80 and 103.8, respectively. The Pioneers also lead fifth overall in assist/turnover ratio with 1.84.
 
Phil Bledsoe leads seventh in the division in double-doubles with six on the year and ninth overall in points per game averaging 24.5
 
Ty Robinson leads eighth in the country and first in conference averaging 2.60 blocked shots per game.
 
Hegel Augustin leads first in the conference in steals with 24 total, averaging 2.4 a night.

The Pioneers will hit the road again, traveling down to Raleigh, North Carolina to face off against Saint Augustin University January 3^rd. Tip off is slated for 6pm.
