Avon, Ohio - The Glenville State Pioneer baseball team dropped a doubleheader on the road Friday to the Falcons of Notre Dame College.
The Pioneers recorded five hits while committing two errors in as they fell in game one to Notre Dame 2-1. The Falcons finished the game with eight hits.
Glenville State jumped out to an 1-0 lead in the third as
Tyler Phillips singled which scored
Luke Petrice.
Notre Dame then then retook the lead in the bottom of the third and never looked back as they scored two runs on two hits as they took the contest, 2-1.
Colby Werry went 2-for-2 while
Tyler Phillips recorded the only RBI for the Pioneers.
Jesse Weathers pitched 6.0 innings allowing two runs on eight hits while striking out five batters.
Game two, the Pioneers registered seven hits while giving up 10 to the Notre Dame Falcons as GSC fell 4-3.
Notre Dame took a 2-0 lead as they scored a run int he first and a run in the second.
The Pioneers took their first in the fourth.

Chase Swain singled to right center as
Hunter Brown and
Shane Talvacchio both crossed the plate as they went up, 3-2
However, in the bottom of the fourth NDC scored two runs on three hits as they defeated the Pioneers, 4-3.
Shane Talvacchio went 3-for-3 with and RBI while
Chase Swain went 1-for-3 with two RBI's.
Andrue Hughart pitched 2.0 innings allowing two runs on two hits while striking out two batters.
Jacob Harmon pitched 4.0 innings allowing two runs on six hits with one strike out.Â
Glenville State (7-17, 4-6) will return to action this Sunday, March 31st as they travel to Urbana University. The first pitch is slated for 1 p.m.
