Glenville, W.Va.- Lady Pioneers Volleyball is 0-2 on the day in search for a strong comeback against tournament host, Daemen College.
Game one of the Daemen Tournament, The Lady Pioneers won their first set in six matches but, still could not come out on top as Wilmington College (6-3) won the match 3-1.
During their first set, Glenville State came up short losing 25-15 but making a strong comeback, they took the second set 25-17! Gazing another set win, the Lady Pioneers trailed early to tie the match and fight back serve by serve but fell 25-21. In the fourth and final set the the Lady Pioneers tallied first but fell short 25-17. The Quakers out killed the Lady Pioneers 49-37.
In game two, GSC fell short again to Lock Haven University (5-2) in three straight sets. The Lady Pioneers faced LHU early in the season where they came up short two sets to three. In tonight's match up, LHU out killed the Lady Pioneers 37-28.
GSC had 65 kills on the day with strong performances by
Skylar Mace and
Seanna Stump at 19 and 18.
Jyra Clark-Casto and
Bailey Hanson added eight and nine kills, respectively.
Mace lead the day with six serving aces with
Hannah McKown following behind with three.
On the defensive end, Mace had 15 digs on the day,
Madison Shepherd continued with 13 and
Kenzie Johnson with 10.
GSC is back in action against Daemen College Saturday September 21
st at 1:00pm
