Glenville, W.Va. – The GSC Lady Pioneer volleyball team dropped two games on Saturday at the Edinboro Tournament.
Game one of the morning, GSC fell in four sets, 3-1, to MSU Moorehead (25-9, 25-21, 25-13, and 25-16).
Glenville State suffered a tough defeat in set one falling, 25-9. However, Lady Pioneers bounced back in set two as they took it 25-21 from the Dragons.
But the Dragons went on to take the third set, 25-13, and the fourth set, 25-16.
GSC tallied 31 kills while committing 23 errors. The Dragons recorded 52 kills and committed 21 errors.
Skylar Mace led the Lady Pioneers with 14 kills while Jazaeay Clark-Casto recorded six kills.
Kylie Williiams led GSC in digs with eight while
Madison Shepherd finished with seven digs.
In the second game of the day, the Lady Pioneers fell in three sets to host Edinboro University 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-23).
Edinboro had 45 kills on 108 attacks while Glenville State recorded 26 kills on 76 attacks.
Jazaray Clark-Casto led the Lady Pioneers with eight kills and two digs.
Skylar Mace finished with six kills.
Madison Shepherd recorded a team high 11 digs.
Glenville State (1-3) will be on the road next weekend when they play in the Concord University Tournament.
