Glenville, W.Va. – The Lady Pioneers are set to open their season at home Friday February 21
st in a six game series against Walsh, Shepherd, Mansfield and Mercyhurst University.

The Lady Pioneers were tabbed Preseason Sixth in MEC South Division as the Blue and White finished 14-36 on the year and 6-24 in conference action in 2019.
GSC returns a strong group of 12 from the previous year while bringing in ten freshmen to the dugout.
Karra Smith returns hitting .383 after a monster freshman season tallying 54 hits including 12 homeruns and team high 34 RBIs. Senior,
Paranda Uber hit .321 in the offensive attack at the plate with six homeruns and 12 doubles within her 45 hits.
Jerri Potter tossed out eight runners from centerfield and returns to the outfield as a senior.
In the circle for the Lady Pioneers,
Tori Ward returns picking up three wins on the year with a 6.62 ERA with 32 strikeouts. At the plate, Ward totaled 21 hits with three doubles and three homeruns.
On the mound,
Celina Maberto picked up four wins for Glenville last season with a team low 5.20 ERA.
Cavalier Files
Walsh will open their season against the Lady Pioneers after finishing 9-37 on the year and 5-16 in conference play (GMAC)
The Cavaliers return four of their five top hitters from last season;
Emma Bobey (.317),
Katelyn Kennedy (.303),
Jessie Rock (.302), and
Katelyn Loughman (.301). WU is coached under a new staff adding two new assistant coaches.

Shepherd are competing under the PSAC conference after leaving the MEC as the Blue and White are 0-4 against the Rams in the 2019 season.
On the sticks, the Rams hit .247 collectively and pitching 2.30 as a pitching staff.
Laker Files
Mercyhurst was lead by Natalie Graff hitting .315 at the plate with teammates Ellie Dougher and Emma LeGendre attacking .303 and .284, respectively. The Lakers finished the year 9-34 on the year and 3-17 in the PSAC.
The Lady Pioneers last faced the Lakers in 2015.
Mountie Files
Mansfield will open their 2020 season at Glenville State Tournament after completing the season 17-15-1 and 11-7-1 in conference action.
As a program, the Mounties hit .310 on the year as Alli McGovern lead with .471 offensive attack tallying 41 hits and 15 RBIs.
In the circle for Mansfield, Alexis Easling lead behind senior Arianna Young who managed a 3.21 ERA with a 9-5 win/loss record.

The Lady Pioneers will return to action at home hosting the second Glenville State Softball Tournament.
