GLENVILLE – Concord came to Glenville on Tuesday night, and defeated the Pioneers in Mountain East Conference Volleyball action. The Mountain Lions executed the victory in straight sets; 25-15, 25-15, 25-12.
Glenville opened the match scoring two of the first three points, but Concord responded by scoring the next six points for a 7-2 lead. Coach Kate Dillon's squad would hold the lead for the remainder of the night, besides a brief 1-1 tie at the start of the Second Set.
Taylin Johnson led GSC with eight kills, with
Skylar Mace,
Kiera Ashburn, and
Karlei Shaver all recording four. Libero
Hannah McKown posted a team-high 14 digs, followed by Shaver with five. Setter
Sophie Shifferly registered 16 assists.
Glenville falls to 2-9 with the loss, and they are now 0-5 in MEC play. Concord improves to 4-9 overall, and 1-4 in the league.
