Glenville, W.Va. – Coming off an end of weekend win against Wheeling, Glenville State will travel to north for two pairs of MEC contests.

Pioneer, Fighting Falcons & Bobcat Files

Splitting with Wheeling and dropping a pair to West Liberty last weekend, GSC enters the ball games 6-23 overall and 3-15 in MEC play. The Pioneers hold the eighth seed in the conference in overall batting average with .273 behind West Liberty who is hitting .283. The Blue and White on the mound hold a 6.25 ERA.

Fairmont State, ranked third in the Northern Division holds a 13-7 and 9-3 MEC record as they lead second in the MEC in pitching holding a 1.96 ERA. Offensively the Fighting Falcons are hitting .303 at the plate and is led by Courtney Worceste with a .373 ERA.

13-6 overall and Northern Division leader, Frostburg State enters the weekend after a four game sweep against Alderson Broaddus and Notre Dame College. Prior to the Pioneers and Bobcat matchup FSU is set to face off against Notre Dame College again on Friday and face Concord University on Saturday.

Pioneer Highlights

Mackenzie Matinelli leads 18^th in the MEC in hitting with a .380 offensive attack with 35 hits this season with six doubles, two triples and two homeruns.

Ashley Fridley and Karra Smith are also ranked 32^nd and 40^th with a .344 and .319 batting average, respectively.

Smith leads the conference in RBIs with 23 and doubles with 12. Fridley leads eighth in Runs Scored and hits with 19 and 32.

Jessica Williams and Kaelynn Stenger each tally three home runs on the season leading the conference seventh and eighth.
