GLENVILLE – Basketball players John Williams JR. and Zakiyah Winfield have been named GSC's Players of the Week (January 3-9).
 
Williams Jr. averaged 28.0 points per game and 9.5 rebounds in Glenville's two games for the week. His top performance was a 33-point, 14-rebound night at Wheeling. He currently leads the Mountain East in scoring at 24.2 ppg.
 
Winfield helped the 5^th ranked Lady Pioneers extend their unbeaten streak to a perfect 12-0 with a pair of victories. For the week, Winfield averaged 26.5 points per game, and 8.5 rebounds. She is currently ranked fifth in the league in both scoring and assists, and is sixth in steals.
