GLENVILLE – Glenville's Men's Basketball program is back on the road Saturday, traveling to Athens to face the Concord Mountain Lions. GSC fought a strong State team on Wednesday night, but came up just short in the final minutes.
John Williams Jr. of the Pioneers continues to lead the Mountain Est Conference in scoring at 24.0 points per game. Teammate Adrian Scarborough still leads the league in field goal percentage at 71.3%, while averaging 13.4 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.
Concord is led by the combo of Lual Rahama and Matt Weir who are averaging 15.6 and 15.3 points per game respectively. Concord had posted two consecutive home victories, before falling to league leader Charleston on Wednesday night.
GSC enters the contest 6-8 overall, and 3-7 in the Mountain East Conference. Concord enters 6-10 overall, and 4-7 in the MEC.
Tip-off is set for 4:00 at Concord.
