Men’s Golf in Contention After Day Two of MEC Championship

Warren, Ohio - Glenville State's Men's Golf is in contention after day two of the Mountain East Conference Men's Golf Championship. Coach John Lilly's squad currently sits in third place with a team score of 611. 

The Pioneers wrapped up day two with a score of 306. Freshman Juan Mockeberg once again led Glenville on day two. Mockeberg finished the day two over par producing a team-high in birdies with four. Mathias Nunez finished the day with a 76 cutting three strokes from round one. Shaydon Johnson and Bumin Choi both posted a 78 during round two along with a birdie on their card. Sophomore Fabricio Meza wrapped up the Pioneers card with an 86.

Heading into the final day, Glenville trails the University of Charleston by six strokes. The Senators of Davis and Elkins College are close behind the Eagles with a score of 606. Fairmont State wraps up the top four of the MEC Men's Golf Championship trailing the Pioneers by four strokes.
