GLENVILLE – Coming off Saturday's hard-fought 96-90 victory over Wheeling in the Waco Center, Glenville's Men's squad has a quick turnaround on Monday, traveling to face a strong West Virginia State squad. John Williams Jr. put on a show in the Wheeling win, scoring 33 points, and posting game highs with 11 rebounds and eight assists.
Glenville is in the middle of a gauntlet portion of their schedule, playing eight games in a 17-day stretch. This is game number three in this stretch.
Williams Jr. leads the league in scoring at 23.6 points per game, and is fourth in rebounding at 9.0. Teammate Adrian Scarborough is averaging 15.6 ppg and is slightly ahead of Williams in rebounding, ranked third also at 9.0. Scarborough leads the MEC in field goal percentage at 69.9%. This duo has been complemented by Tommy Williams (10.3), Zane DeSouza (9.9), and Luke LeRose (9.1). Glenville is second in the league in team offense at 90.5 points per game.
State has been led by the duo of Glen Abram (19.6) and the dynamic Anthony Pittman (15.6).
Glenville makes the trip with an overall mark of 9-12 overall, and 6-11 in the Mountain East Conference. State is having a strong year at 18-6, 13-4 in the MEC.
