The GSC Pioneer Boxing Squad traveled to Portsmouth, Ohio for the Hardknock's Challenge on Saturday night, February 19th.
Chris Sandy was scheduled to fight, but his bout was scratched due to his opponent not being able to box.
Aaron O'Connor fought Andrew Zammit of the DMC Boxing Academy, Dayton Ohio in the Main Event of the night. It was a highly contested battle over 3 rounds. O'Connor controlled the bout in the first round boxing and moving, in the second round Zammit release the power shots in a dominate display that left the fight at one round apiece. Going into the 3rd and final round, O'Connor returned to boxing and avoided the brawl taking the round to win by a unanimous decision. The was the fighter vs the boxer all 3 rounds in an action packed fight !!!
The pioneers return to the ring March the 4th and 5th for the "Gary E. Tony Memorial Tournament" in Charleston WV, March 19th at "The Shamrock Slugfest" in Cleveland OH, and March 26th in Youngstown OH for the "Night of the Fights".
