Glenville State's Women's Volleyball team defeated the Salem Tigers 3-0 in the home opener. The Lady Pioneers improve their record to 7-3.

In the first set, Glenville opened the frame on a 7-1 run.
Zoe Schmidt sparked the Pioneer's early run by opening the match with an ace. After taking an early lead, the Lady Pioneers continued to extend their advantage, eventually taking the set 25-13. The Pioneers produced two stretches of five straight points in the first frame.

Once again in the second set, the Lady Pioneers took an early lead. However, this time Glenville pulled away halfway through the set with another 5-0 run. Freshman
Rita Kelly propelled the Pioneer's run. The Lady Pioneers eventually won the second set 25-14 and led the match 2-0.

 In the third and final set, The Pioneers again struck early, pushing to a 16-6 lead. Kills by
Nalaina Funk,
Katarzyna Niderla, and
Lauryn O'Lenic helped Glenville close the set. Sophomore
Bryanne Tustin would also contribute for the Pioneers late in the third set with an ace.

Katarzyna Niderla led the team in kills with 11 followed by
Nalaina Funk with 10.
Zoe Schmidt,
Sydney Goodrich, and
Lindsay Winkler finished tonight's match with ten or more digs.
Julia King produced four service aces and 17 assists. In total, 17 Pioneers would play in tonight's match.Â
