Pioneers End Busy Week with Sweep at Salem

SALEM, W.Va. – Coach Kiara Perkins' Glenville State Volleyball team got back on the winning track Saturday morning, earning an efficient three-set road victory at Salem University. The Pioneers methodically won each frame; 25-18, 25-13, 25-19.

Katarzyna Niderla led the Glenville offensive attack, recording 10 kills, and a team-high two blocks at the net. She was complemented by teammates Malerie Ross with seven kills and Sarah Grainger with six. Grainger registered 27 assists from her setter position, and delivered a pair of service aces along with Bryanne Tustin. Defensively, Grainger produced 12 digs, followed by Lindsay Winkler with nine, and Tustin with six

Glenville raises their overall record to 9-12 with the win. Salem falls to 5-14 with the loss.

After four consecutive matches on the road, the Pioneers return to action next Friday night, hosting West Liberty in the Waco Center. First serve is set for 7:00 p.m.
