GLENVILLE, W.Va. - The Glenville State Women's Soccer team picked up their first victory over Fairmont State in school history this afternoon 4-3 at Morris Stadium. Just a little over a minute later, Fairmont State's Kylee Kosek answered from around 20 yards out with a goal of her own, tying the game at one. Though GSU commanded much of the possession in the first half, FSU scored their second goal when Tristen Bright capitalized on the penalty kick opportunity.

Three minutes later, Merel Smets used a penalty kick to put the Pioneers up 3-2 and give herself her second goal of the game. Glenville State added a much needed insurance goal at the 80th minute on a nifty move and shot by Irene Robles. As time expired, FSU netted a goal as the Pioneers won 4-3.
