With four games left in the regular season the Pioneers control their seeding for the Mountain East Conference Tournament. Glenville sits two games out of fourth and holds a one-game lead over Concord.

A Look at Your Pioneers
When looking at the recent series history between the Senators and Pioneers, the previous match up had GSU taking the win in a nail-biting 3-point game.
Jordan Turbo Smith led the Pioneers in scoring and had a game-high 21 points. Both
Freddie Word and
Jacquez Yow finished the contest with double doubles. Word finished the game with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Yow, a native of Newport News, Va. produced 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. GSU was able to have success against D&E forcing 17 turnovers in the winning effort.
In GSU's previous game against the Cardinals of Wheeling University, Glenville State Men's Basketball team also defeated the Cardinals in a tight three-point game, 98-95. While the Pioneers shot 37.9% from beyond the arc Coach Caldwell's squad would make 11 threes throughout the contest. Glenville, having one of their best nights from the free throw line, was able to come out on top late.
Jamarvious Jones led the Pioneers in scoring with a new career-high 27 points. Jones also finished the contest with just three rebounds shy of a double-double.
Freddie Word once again had a double-double scoring 15 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Junior
Jacquez Yow chipped in with 15 points as well.

Since the first meeting between the two squads, Davis and Elkins have picked up five wins. In the last five, the Senators are 4-1 defeating some stiff competition. During their streak Coach Mondragon's squad defeated Notre Dame College on the road and West Virginia State at home.
D&E in their last time out fell to the Golden Eagles 105-66. The Senator's leading scorer Sam Rolle IV was held to only nine points. Davis and Elkins's highest scorer of the contest came off the bench with Walton Breland scoring 15 points. Breeland a fifth-year senior also had a team high eight rebounds in the loss.
Through 24 games the Senators have had success at the charity stripe. On average D&E is attempting 22.3 free throws per game which is the third most in the conference. While Davis and Elkins is only shooting 72.3% from the line, they are making the third most attempts in the MEC.
