Lady Pioneer Golf Breaks Program Three-Round Record Once More

Destin, Fla. - Glenville State Women's Golf team had another great showing at the Emerald Coast Classic hosted by the University of Missouri Saint Louis. The Lady Pioneers finished the three-day event with a 948 placing 12th. Glenville's team score of 948 broke the school's three-round record once again. 

Freshman Hailey Hendershot had another solid performance posting three scores in the 70s. In the second round Hendershott shot 75 while shooting one under par in the front nine. With three great rounds, she was able to finish tied for 32nd out of an 89-man field. Grace Halcrow finished one stroke behind Hendershott placing tied for 37th. Halcrow lead the Lady Pioneers after day one shooting a 74. In the opening round, she produced four birdies. After posting an 83 on day two Grace bounced back and finished the tournament with a 77.

Sophomore Kendall Wall finished the Emerald Coast Classic 23 strokes over par. Like Halcrow Wall would bounce back in the final round shooting a 76. Elizabeth Bickar wrapped up the Lady Pioneers' scorecard with a 245 followed by Holly Elliott with a 263.

In the first round, Glenville was ahead of the University of Missouri Saint Louis who was ranked 20th in the country. The Tritons through the next two days passed the Lady Pioneers. However, GSU would defeat #44 UT Permian Basin, #47 Arkansas Tech, #50 Harding University, and #67 Dury. 

The Lady Pioneers will be back in action at the Greenbrier Invitational starting on April 2nd.
