GLENVILLE, W.Va. - The Glenville State Men's and Women's Cross Country programs have been tabbed to finish 9th (men's) and 8th (women's) in the Mountain East Conference preseason poll, the league announced today.
Defending MEC Champion Charleston is tabbed to win both men's and women's championships once again while Davis & Elkins and Concord are selected to place 2nd and 3rd on both sides. To complete the women's poll, West Liberty is picked to be 5th, Frostburg State 6th, Fairmont State 7th, Wheeling follows Glenville at #9, West Virginia State 10th and Notre Dame College is slated to be 11th.
On the men's side, West Virginia Wesleyan is slated at #4, West Liberty #5, Wheeling #6, Frostburg State #7, Fairmont State #8, West Virginia State is 10th behind the Pioneers and Notre Dame College closes out the poll at #11.
The Pioneer men were 8th and the women were 9th last season at the MEC Championships.
