CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Glenville State Volleyball team dropped a match at the University of Charleston on Friday night, 3-0.
GSU dropped all three sets on Friday, 25-9, 25-12, 25-8. The Pioneers were able to score early in each set, but a powerful surge by Charleston allowed them to pull away in each of the three stanzas.

Charleston
Emma Shepherd recorded nine kills and Pia Selke chipped in with seven. London Upchurch led the team in assists with 17. Defensively, Kate Strong led UC with four and Patrycja Majos had two. Chloe Fortner added 11 digs and Upchurch had eight.
Glenville State
Rita Kelly led the Pioneers offensively with six kills and Larissa Howe chipped in with three kills. Sadie Hill once again led the Pioneers in assists, tallying 14. Defensively, Deniz Selen Yazar led the team in blocks with two, and Howe recorded one. Morgan Stephenson had eight digs on the evening, while Bryanne Tustin and Justine David had six.
