GLENVILLE, W.Va. – The Glenville State Women's Soccer team got their first tie of the season in a conference matchup against Frostburg State tonight, 2-2. The Pioneers record now stands at (3-4-1, 1-4-1 MEC).
1st Half
In the first half, Frostburg set the tone early, scoring at the five-minute mark thanks to a Madison Allen goal. Frostburg State managed to score again towards the end of the half at the 40-minute mark on a goal from Carly Gillette, making it 2-0 at the break.
2nd Half
In the second half, Glenville State kept the pressure on Frostburg's goalie Mia Graff and scored two quick goals exactly a minute apart from each other, courtesy of
Marcelle Stoller and
Valentina Quiroz. Neither team managed to find the back of the net again, leading to both teams to tie for the first time this season.

Frostburg's goals were scored by Madison Allen and Carly Gillette. Assisting on those goals were Carolyn DeSena and Madison Hobson. Madison Allen led the team in shots while Allen and Catherine Smith had the most shots on goal for Frostburg with two apiece. Katie Stern had two saves in tonight's game.
Glenville State
Marcelle Stoller and
Valentina Quiroz led the Pioneers in goals with one each. Martinia Roig and
Mackenzie Hendricks notched one assist for GSU. Five Pioneers led the team in shots with two apiece.
Lucia Lopez managed to rack up three saves in the tie.
