GLENVILLE, W.Va. – The Glenville State Women's Soccer team competed for 90 minutes and earned a 2-2 tie against Point Park today at Morris Stadium in Glenville.
GSU went down early after a Point Park goal from Martina Cardemil in the 19
th minute, however the Pioneers made the necessary adjustments at halftime as
Sophia Calkins scored two second half goals to give the Pioneers a 2-1 lead after her second goal in the 71
st minute of the contest. Point Park would answer less than fifteen minutes later with a Vanessa Vasquez goal, tying things up at two with under five minutes to play. Both teams had chances late but couldn't get the go-ahead goal, resulting in a 2-2 draw.

Point Park
Vanessa Vasquez led the team with three shots and one goal while Martina Carmedil scored on her only shot of the game. Frederieke Rijlaarsdam allowed two goals and had four saves for the Pioneers.
Glenville State
Calkins led the way with two goals on three shots, with
Marcelle Stoller and
Aitana Viejo both adding three shots total. The Pioneers used
Lucia Lopez and
Anjolie Colon both in goal during the contest, both allowing a goal and one save each.
