PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Glenville State Men's Basketball team defeated Point Park, 81-64, tonight on the road to secure their first conference win of the season and push their record to (2-1, 1-0 MEC). GSU shot 40% from the three-point line and forced 16 turnovers to help secure the win.
The Pioneers defense was a factor from the start as they kept Point Park scoreless for the first three minutes of the game. Point Park would score to go down by one a few minutes later but the GSU kept the pressure and the turnovers they forced on defense would turn into points on offense as they closed out the first half with a fifteen-point lead. In the first half, the Pioneers had 10 points off turnovers while shooting 45% from the field and 47% from three.
In the second half, the Pioneers looked to increase their lead on Point Park but they had other plans. Point Park's work on the boards would allow them nine second chance points and help them to close the Pioneers lead to six with just seven minutes left in the game. The Pioneers stayed relentless and went on a quick run to get their lead back to double digits where it would stay for the rest of the half as Glenville State would took a 17-point victory over Point Park.

The Point Park Pioneers were led in scoring by Kaden Warren, who had 16 points. Behind him was Aiden Anderson with 13 points. Big man Nazareth Fisher had an impressive 19 rebounds and 13 points, giving him a double-double in the loss.
Glenville State
Off the bench, Devin Collins led all scorers with 17 points while shooting 70% from the field. Prince Mosengo had a team-high 10 rebounds and along with that he contributed 14 points, giving him a double-double in tonight's game. Freshman Ammar Maxwell led the team with four assists. On the defensive side of the ball, five different Pioneers had a steal each and Mosengo managed to deny two Point Park shot attempts.

The Pioneers will host Penn State Fayette on Saturday for a non-conference matchup at 4 p.m in the Waco Center.
