LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Glenville State Cross Country teams made history and shook up the all-time lists at today's NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship in Lock Haven.
TEAM FINISHES
The Pioneer men tied their highest-ever finish (#17) with the beset 10k team average in program history.
The Pioneer women recorded their highest regional finish ever at No. 17.
THE WOMEN
In the 6k race,
Natalie Barr earned Second Team All-Region for the second-consecutive season as the sophomore beat her own school record with a time of 21:50.
Abby Dixon moved up to fourth all-time at 23:58 while
Hannah Rowan moved up to 5
th all-time with a time of 24:28.
Jenna Barnett was a top 100 finisher at No. 88, crossing the line at 23:16.
THE MEN
Patrick Reilly set a new 10k school record and had a top 50 finish (#47) with a time of 32:03. Fellow freshman
Nick Pitchford followed not too far behind at 32:08 to make him second all-time. The young core continued its success for the Pioneers as freshman
Jackson Mallett (#102, 33:27) and
Dylan Blackshire (#117, 34:06) both moved into the all-time list at #5 (Mallett) and #7 (Blackshire) respectfully.
Bryan Utt completed his collegiate career 8
th all-time with a time of 34:16.
