Natalie Barr Wins Atlantic Regional Championship, Jenna Barnett & Patrick Reilly Earn All-Region as Both Teams Finish 13th

LOCK HAVEN, P.a. – The Glenville State Cross Country teams honored a Regional Champion, three All-Region runners and had their highest finishes in school history yesterday (Nov. 8) at the NCAA DII Atlantic Regional Championship in Lock Haven. 

NEW SCHOOL RECORDS
Natalie Barr improved her 6k school record with a time of 21:22
Patrick Reilly improved his 10k school record with a time of 31:42

ALL-REGION
Natalie Barr won the Atlantic Regional Championship and has punched her ticket to run in the NCAA DII Cross Country Championship!
Jenna Barnett placed 24th and earned All-Region honors.
Patrick Reilly placed 22nd and earned All Region on the men's side.

TEAM FINISHES
Both the men and women finished 13th in the region, which is the highest regional finish on both sides.

HOW THE PIONEERS FINISHED
The Women
In the 6K race, Barr made history by becoming the Atlantic Regional Champion, marking her as the first Glenville runner ever to punch a ticket for the NCAA Cross Country Championship. Following her strong performance was Barnett, who placed 24th, which was an impressive 64 spots higher than last year, and improved her second all-time mark with a time of 22:06. Barnett also became the second woman in school history to earn All-Region honors. Katie Hicks continued Glenville's standout showing by improving her third all-time mark with a time of 22:54, placing 56th overall and jumping 61 spots from last year's regional finish. Abby Dixon also made her mark on the program's all-time list, running 22:39 to secure the fourth all-time spot and a top-100 finish at No. 95.

The Men
In the 10K race, Reilly made history by becoming the first Glenville men's runner ever to earn All-Region honors, finishing with a time of 31:42. Nick Pitchford followed as the team's second finisher, placing 69th overall. Sophomore Jackson Mallet had a breakout performance, running 33:16 to secure the fourth all-time mark in program history and finishing 70th. Caden Davis also earned a spot on the all-time list, clocking 34:16 to tie for the fourth all-time position and finishing 100th in the race. Landon Griffith delivered a stellar performance with a time of 34:22, earning the ninth all-time mark in school history to round out Glenville's strong showing

Up Next For The Pioneers
Natalie Barr will head to Kenosha, Wis. for the 2025 NCAA DII Cross Country Championship on Saturday, November 22 to officially put a close to the historic season for the Pioneers.
