GLENVILLE, W.Va. - The Glenville State Men's Basketball team handled Frostburg State, 88-72, tonight inside the Waco Center to record another conference victory The Pioneers record now stands at (5-5, 2-3 MEC).
In the first half, Prince Mosengo would get the Pioneers 15-2 run started with a layup. The Pioneers forced Frostburg to turnover the ball eight times in the first half as their defense would make up for their offensive struggles in the first half. While shooting 36% from the field and 15% from the three, the Pioneers still managed to end the first half with a 19-point lead. Mosengo was a menace on the boards, grabbing 12 of the team's 33 rebounds in the first half. Samier Kinsler hit double digits in the opening half with 11 points.
Devin Collins got things moving in the second half with a mid-range jumper as the Pioneers continued right where they left off. The Pioneers figured out their offense as they shot 59.5% from the field and 50% from three in the second half, helping them to increase their lead to 28 points at the six-minute mark. The Pioneers defense wasn't as much of a factor in the second half as they only managed to force one turnover but the GSU lead was insurmountable, allowing the Pioneers to grab a much-needed win over Frostburg State, 88-72.

The Bobcats were led in scoring by JayShaun Freeman (12 points), Naphtali Regilus (11 points) and Trey Simmons (11 points). On the boards, the Bobcats were led by Koby Baptiste, who had nine rebounds. Regilus led the team in assists with two. Justin Roseme had two steals in the loss.
Glenville State
For the Pioneers, freshman Ammar Maxwell had an impressive 22 points, eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block, leading the team in scoring and blocks. Guard Samier Kinsler had 20 points, three assists and one steal while shooting 43% from the field. Forward Prince Mosengo had a double double with 14 points and 14 rebounds, adding a steal and a block to his stat line on defense. Dominiq Penn dished out a team leading five assists. Paul Gakmar managed to score eight points and grab six rebounds in his 16 minutes of play round out the stat sheet for the Pioneers.
