CANTON, Ohio - The Glenville State Men's Basketball team got over the .500 mark with an impressive 92-69 victory over Malone on the road tonight. The Pioneers improve to (6-5, 2-3 MEC) before Christmas break.
In the first half, Prince Mosengo opened the game with a hook shot, helping kick-start an early 7-2 advantage. Malone tried their best to fight back but the Pioneers wouldn't look back as they went up by double digits at the 12- minute mark. Powered by a strong offensive first half from freshman Don Colon-Lewis, who would end the half with 21 points, the Pioneers ended the opening half with a 26-point lead. Both teams would go scoreless in the first two minutes of the half, however the Pioneers eventually got back in their groove and increased their lead to 30 points. Malone made a last second push to shave the Pioneers lead down to 20 points but it was much too late as the Pioneers left Ohio with the 82-69 win.

In today's game, Malone was led in scoring by Edward Wright II's 16 points. Four different players for Malone led the team on the boards with four rebounds each. Three different Pioneers led Malone in assists with three apiece. On the defensive side of the ball, Malone was led by Wright II, who had three steals and three of their players all had a block of their own in the loss.
Glenville State
The Pioneers were led by their two standout freshmen in Don Colon-Lewis and Amar Maxwell. Colon- Lewis had a double-double with 25 points and 14 rebounds while shooting 69% from the field and 71% from the three-point line. Maxwell had 16 points, five rebounds, two blocks and a steal. Guard Gus Eddy led the team in assists tonight with eight, sharing the ball all around. Five different Pioneers led the team in steals with one swipe each. Prince Mosengo (12 points) and Samier Kinsler (11 points) both scored in double digits, contributing to tonight's win.
