GLENVILLE, W.Va. - The Glenville State Men's Basketball team blew out Salem in a 30-point victory, 97-67, earlier today in the Waco Center in the Pioneers annual Kids Day game. The Pioneers record now stands at (4-4, 1-2 MEC) to push them back to .500.
In the first half, Salem would get things started with a two from Daquan Coleman. The Pioneers got on the board for the first time in the very next possession with a layup from Prince Mosengo. Neither team couldn't gain a big lead until the 14- minute mark when Salem went on a six-point run to give them the lead by six points. The Pioneers soon erased their deficit and put together a 12-point run of their own to give them the lead by 11 points closing out the first half, 49-38. Off the bench for the Pioneers, Don Colon-Lewis would score 13 points in the first half alongside center Prince Mosengo, who would have 10 points and five rebounds.
In the second half, the Pioneers started the half on a 16-0 run to increase their lead to 28 points. Their scoring frenzy continued as their biggest lead would climb to as much as 39 points. Salem ate away at this deficit but the Pioneers still managed to close out the second half with a 30-point win over Salem, 97-67.

Daquan Coleman led Salem in scoring 20 points with Tyree Davis not to far behind him with 17 points. On the boards, the Tigers were led by Isaac James, who had eight rebounds. Three different Tigers led the team in assists with two assists each. On defense, the Tigers were led by Davis with his two blocks and three different Tigers led the team with one steal apiece.
Glenville State
Freshman Don Colon-Lewis led the team in scoring off the bench with 20 points. Samer Kinsler also had 18 points and both Devin Collins and Prince Mosengo finished the game with 15 points. Mosengo led the Pioneers on the boards with nine rebounds. Freshman Elijah Redfern led the team in assists with seven while Kinsler was right behind him with five assists. On defense, the Pioneers were led by Redfern's three steals and Colon-Lewis, who had the team's only block. The team as a whole shot 49.3% from the field and 36.8% from three.
