GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State Men's Basketball finishes up the regular season this week, welcoming 10th ranked Charleston tomorrow (Feb. 28) and Concord on Saturday (Mar. 2). The Golden Eagles and the Mountain Lions were placed "under consideration" by the NCAA this past week for the NCAA DII Tournament.

THE OPPONENTS
CHARLESTON
The 10th ranked Golden Eagles enter (23-3, 16-2 MEC), riding a nine-game winning streak that dates back to Jan. 31.
Dwaine Osborne is in his 11th season leading the Golden Eagles. In his first decade at UC, Osborne has led Charleston to 191 wins, four MEC Championship game appearances and won MEC Coach of the year three times. Prior to leading UC back to prominence, he had four-year stints as HC at Texas – Permian Basin and Glenville State.
The high-powered Golden Eagle offense features four double-digit scorers, led by Eddie Colbert III's 17.6 PPG. DeAirius Barker (13.5 PPG), Tyler Eberhart (11.2 PPG) and Shunta Wilson (10.3 PPG) are the other three Golden Eagles in double figures while Dwaine Jones and CJ Meredith both chime in nearly nine points per game. Colbert leads the rebounding efforts at 6.0 RPG and Jones leads the MEC in assists at 5.8 APG.
CONCORD
The Mountain Lions come in (20-5, 13-5 MEC) after having their 10-game winning streak snapped by #20 West Liberty on Saturday.
Todd May is now in his eighth season as the HC of Concord MBB. May has over 100 wins since taking over at Concord, including a 20-win campaign during the 2018-19 season. Before taking over the program, May was an assistant at Concord under Kent McBride for four seasons. In his last year as an assistant, CU won the 2016 MEC Championship and appeared in the NCAA DII Atlantic Regional Tournament.
Kollin Tolbert is leading CU in scoring (14.4 PPG), rebounding (6.4 RPG), assists (2.6 APG) and steals (1.2 SPG). JJ Harper (12.7 PPG), Jevon Laidler (11.0 PPG), Rene Diop (10.4 PPG) and Jordan Wooden (10.1 PPG) round out the double-digit scorers for the Mountain Lions.
THE PIONEERS
GLENVILLE STATE
The Pioneers enter the new week (12-14, 7-11 MEC) following a tough week against #20 West Liberty (L, 77-73) and Wheeling (L, 80-75).
Devin Collins (13.6 PPG) and Jordan Turbo Smith (13.6 PPG) are tied for the team lead in scoring while Dominiq Penn is scoring 13.5 PPG. Smith is first on the team in assists (5.3 APG) and steals (1.6 SPG) with Collins leading the squad in rebounding, pulling down 5.3 RPG.
