MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The Glenville State Track & Field teams set a new school record and 16 personal bests at the Stan Romanoski Open yesterday.
NEW SCHOOL RECORD
Kimberly Halsey broke her own school record in the pole vault at 3.05m. She also placed 5th in the event.
NEW PERSONAL BESTS
The Women
MyKell Bowen PR'd in the hammer throw, finishing at 25.16m.
Macy Hilvers set a personal best in the hammer (33.46m) and the discus (31.48m).
Brianna Browning also had a PR in the discus at 32.08m.
Jayden Cover recorded a personal record in the 100m dash, crossing at 14.15.
Hannah Hill placed 17th and ran a personal best 2:27 in the 800m run.
Sara Lowe was the final PR of the day for a women, setting it in the pole vault at 2.30m.
The Men
Brandon Bowie threw a personal best in the shot put with a throw of 14.54m. His throw also placed him 5th.
Charlie Bauman didn't finish too far behind Bowie, placing 8th and setting a new PR at 14.05m. He also PR'd in the hammer with a throw of 30.66m.
Adam Burnside threw a personal best in the hammer also, finishing at 26.91m.
Casey Mahoney had a personal record in the discus, measuring 35.90m.
In the javelin, Jeremy Taylor (43.21m) and Euan Kettle (28.75m) PR'd.
Elijah Armes recorded a personal record in 5000m run, crossing at 18:12.
