GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State Softball has won seven of their last nine and look to keep it rolling this week with doubleheaders at home against Concord tomorrow (Apr. 17), Notre Dame College on Saturday (Apr. 20) and Salem on Sunday (Apr. 21). The Pioneers met with the Mountain Lions earlier in the year, splitting with them in Athens.

THE OPPONENTS 
CONCORD 
The Mountain Lions enter (22-20, 10-12 MEC), getting swept by Fairmont State on Sunday and splitting with Frostburg State on Saturday. CU is currently tied with GSU for 3rd in the MEC Southern Division. 
Kylee Stacy flashes a team leading .416 AVG, 57 hits, three doubles and 18 stolen bases on 20 attempts. Three Mountain Lions have 20 or more RBI thus far, led by Courtney Raines with 36. Lacie Lewis has been productive in just 86 at-bats this year, swinging it at a .349 clip with 5 HR and 25 RBI. Nancy Jo Roberts (10-7, 2.99 ERA) and Madison Hollis (9-10, 3.78 ERA) lead the pitching staff for Concord. 
NOTRE DAME COLLEGE 
The Falcons are (26-19, 9-11 MEC) after sweeping West Virginia State on Saturday but being swept by Charleston on Sunday.  
Destany Blake (.331), Meadow Odum (.310), Avery Robinson (.304) and Katelyn DeWeese (.303) are atop the NDC batting averages with Blake driving in 30 runs while Odum has mashed 4 HR. Only 12 home runs have been hit as a team by the Falcons but they have found their way to score runs efficiently. Grace Fisher is 13-8 with a 3.51 ERA and 129 strikeouts in 133.1 innings of work in the 2024 campaign, starting 23 games. Her counterpart, Allison Weilnau, is 9-8 with a 3.45 ERA and nine complete games.  
SALEM 
The Tigers come in (9-25), falling to Charleston in both games on Saturday and splitting with West Virginia State on Sunday. Prior to taking game two against WVSU, Salem had lost 10 in a row. 
Sierra Chapa (.330) and Meladie LaRance (.324) lead SU in average with LaRance at the top of the team leaderboard in RBI with 22. Only three Tigers have hit a home run as all three only totaling one each. Salem's arms have a team ERA of 5.44, led by Andrea Gallegos, who has won five games and struck out 19 batters in 64.1 innings. 
THE PIONEERS 
GLENVILLE STATE 
The Pioneers near the .500 mark at (16-17, 10-12 MEC) as they enter the new week, sweeping Fairmont State on Saturday and splitting with Frostburg State on Sunday. 
Kylee Goodman has been impressive with the glove and the bat this year, leading the Pioneers in average (.360) and hits (36). Delaney Warnick has come along well as a freshman, hitting .302 with 32 hits, six doubles, 6 HR and 21 RBI. Monica Rodelo and Emma McLean have added 4 HR each while Addison Aguinia and Goodman have hit two on the year. 
Holly Brehm was MEC Pitcher of the Week after picking up two wins last week, putting her W-L record to 8-7 with a 1.59 ERA and 143 strikeouts in 97 innings. Kylie Burdick (2.50 ERA) and Caitlyn Kassay (4.64 ERA) had big weekends as well, recording victories in their starts and lowering their ERA's.
