GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State Softball will wrap up the 2024 regular season this weekend, traveling to Davis & Elkins tomorrow (Apr. 26) and West Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday (Apr. 27). The Pioneers split with the Senators but were swept by the Bobcats earlier in the year.

THE OPPONENTS
DAVIS & ELKINS
The Senators come in (25-22, 12-14 MEC) after sweeping WVSU on Saturday and getting swept by Charleston on Sunday.
D&E features four batting over .300, led by Lilly Saucedo's .384 AVG with 58 hits, 12 doubles and 32 RBI. Three Senators have hit six home runs each with Ashlyn Zapach leading the team with 8 HR. Linzey Allard is second on the team in average (.354) and hits (41) while leading the team in RBI with 41. The pitching staff is led by Sammie Jarvis (2.47 ERA, 14-4) and Vanessa Hunt (3.33 ERA, 9-8) as both have tossed a combined 21 complete games and four shutouts.
WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN
The Bobcats enter (16-29, 6-20 MEC), splitting with both West Virginia State and Salem last weekend.
Andie Dizon (.427 AVG, 1 HR, 22 RBI), Kendall Stoffel (.390 AVG, 1 HR, 18 RBI) and Emma Jackson (.315 AVG, 3 HR, 21 RBI) lead the bats for the Bobcats. As a team, WVWC has only hit six home runs through 45 games. Kendall Stoffel is even better in the circle for West Virginia Wesleyan, posting a 2.06 ERA with 11 wins and nine complete games. Victoria Wehrberger has been solid as well, making 22 appearances and recording a 3.25 ERA with three wins.
THE PIONEERS
GLENVILLE STATE
The Pioneers are (21-18, 13-13 MEC) as they come into the final weekend of the regular season. GSU has also won 12 out of their last 15, including five of six last week with their only loss coming to Concord. For the first time under Head Coach Sara Scoone, the Pioneers are ranked in the regional rankings (#8).
Delaney Warnick (.298 AVG, 36 hits, 6 HR, 21 RBI), Monica Rodelo (.284 AVG, 5 HR, 31 hits, 31 RBI) and Emma McLean (.282 AVG, 31 hits, 5 HR, 12 RBI) are bringing the most power to the Glenville State lineup. Leadoff hitter Kylee Goodman leads the team in average (.339), hits (40) and OB% (.409).
Holly Brehm had another great week, adjusting her stat line to 11-7 W-L, 1.46 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 169 strikeouts in 115 IP. Meghan Stump recorded her first collegiate win over the weekend while posting a 2.12 ERA. Kylie Burdick (2.44 ERA, 5-1 W-L) and Caitlyn Kassay (4.06, 4-2 W-L) round out the talented pitching staff for the Pioneers.
