TROUTVILLE, Va. - The Glenville State Softball team beat Concord 1-0 in their first game of the day to stay alive in the MEC Tournament but would be eliminated by Davis & Elkins in their second game, 9-6. The Pioneers entered the day No. 7 in the Atlantic Regional rankings.
Game One – GSU 1 | NDC 0
Monica Rodelo got the scoring started in the bottom of the 1st with an RBI single down the right field line, scoring Kylee Goodman. From there, Holly Brehm got into her second pitcher's duel in as many days as her and Concord's Nancy-Jo Roberts held both offenses scoreless for the remainder of the game. CU was only able to put three runners on the whole contest with Brehm and the Pioneers securing the 1-0 victory.

Monica Rodelo and Kylee Goodman had the only hits for the Pioneers as Rodelo also recorded the lone RBI. Holly Brehm held a no-hitter late into the game, eventually earning the win on two hits, one walk and 10 strikeouts.
Kylee Stacy and Kassidy Garvey finished with the only hits for the Mountain Lions. Nancy Jo-Roberts took the loss after six innings of one-run (earned) ball on just two hits and two walks.
Game Two – GSU 6 | D&E 9
D&E scored early, hitting a sac fly to left to make it 1-0 after one inning. The Senators then busted the game wide open in the 2nd, plating five runs on a pair of Pioneer errors and small-ball offense. Trailing 6-0, GSU exploded for six runs in the bottom of the 3rd to tie the game up at six all. The game stayed scoreless for a few innings until D&E added three runs with two outs in the bottom of the 5th, making it 9-6. The Pioneers made plenty of contact in the final innings but couldn't get any more runs as D&E eliminated the Pioneers from the MEC Tournament, 9-6.

Delaney Warnick (2-4, 1 HR, 1 RBI) led the Pioneers while Addison Aguiniga (2 RBI), Monica Rodelo (1 RBI), Hannah Howe (1 RBI) and Makenna Negley (1 RBI) all contributed. Kylie Burdick took the loss out of the pen, allowing three runs (all earned) on five hits in four innings.
Ashlyn Zapach and Allison Cuellar both had two hits with Linzey Allard leading all Senators in RBIs with three. Zapach added 2 RBI in the win. Sammie Jarvis was victorious, going the full seven innings and giving up six runs (all earned) on seven hits and four walks.
