GLENVILLE, W.Va. - GSU Cheer attended a UCA (Universal Cheerleaders Association) event from July 25^th - 28^th on the campus of East Tennessee State University. This four-day camp focused on the game day experience, with instruction on sideline, time out and fight song routines. The team received one on one instruction from UCA staff to build good sportsmanship practices for game day and learned skills necessary to develop positive fan behavior to enhance the overall game day experience for fans. 

During camp, the team received superior ratings on their sideline, fight song, and timeout routines.  The Game Day competition was held on the last day of camp with GSU taking 2^nd place in the sideline performance for the Small Co-Ed Open division.  

Head Coach Bridget Carr said "throughout the entire camp, GSU cheerleaders displayed the eagerness to learn and grow as a team, and it paid off!  They worked hard, unified as a team, and it definitely showed in their final performances.  I am eager to take all the skills learned during camp to make the game day atmosphere at Glenville State University the best experience ever for our fans!  I am also excited to build on these skills and compete in the future."
