CANFIELD, Ohio - The Glenville State Cross Country teams competed at the Youngstown State University Inaugural Alumni CC Meet yesterday, with both the men and women finishing seventh in the longer course. The men ran their first 8k of the season while the women ran the 5k for the second time this season.
The Women
Natalie Barr was a top 10 finisher, placing 10th with a time of 19:14. Jenna Barnett took 19th at 19:49 while Katie Hicks (40th, 20:53), Abby Dixon (52nd, 22:09) and Hannah Rowan (53rd, 22:21) rounded out the top five finishers for the Pioneers. Juniors Savannah Cunningham (54th, 22:28) and Hannah Hill (55th, 22:44) closed out the race for GSU.
The Men
The Glenville State Men were once again led by freshman Patrick Reilly, as the Buffalo HS product was the highest-placing freshman at #18, crossing the line at 27:12. The second and third finishers for the Pioneers were also freshman in Jackson Mallett (38th, 29:28) and Caden Davis (42nd, 29:57). Seniors Bryan Utt (43rd, 30:16) and Isaac Slater (44th, 30:18) followed while Alex Rogerson (59th, 31:44) and Daniel Kargol (61st, 32:25) finished out placements for the Pioneer runners.

The Pioneers will be at the Lock Haven Invite next Saturday (Sept. 28), running at the West Branch Cross Country Course.
