CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Glenville State Women's Soccer team lost a tough one on the road against Charleston earlier today, 3-1. The Pioneers record now stands at (3-2, 1-2 MEC).
1st Half
In the first half, the Pioneers took the lead early at the five-minute mark on a goal by Marcelle Stoller, who was assisted by Valentina Quiroz. Glenville State managed to keep the lead in the first half even though they were out shot by Charleston by six shots.
2nd Half
In the second half, GSU looked to keep their lead, but were unsuccessful in doing so as the Golden Eagles exploaded for three goals in the second half. Charleston outshot Glenville State in the second half by six shots again, giving the Pioneers their second loss in the Mountain East Conference, 3-1.

Three different players for the Golden Eagles scored in today's game. Anna Gregor led the team in assists with two. Juliette Lucas led the team in shots with six and shots on goal with four, right behind her was Michelle Wenger with three shots and three shots on goal. Sofia Chaverra had Charleston's only save of the game.
Glenville State
Marcelle Stoller scored Glenville State's only goal of the game. Valentina Quiroz had the lone assist. The Pioneers had a four-way tie for the most shots in the game. Marcelle Stoller and Mackenzie Hendricks both had a shot on goal, leading the Pioneers in that category. Lucia Lopez had four saves in the loss.
