LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Glenville State Cross Country teams made history at today's Lock Haven Invite in Pennsylvania, moving five women runners up into the top 10 all-time list in the 6k race while the men had a runner race the fastest 8k since 1988.

The Women
Natalie Barr finished 22nd in a stacked race, full of runners from all divisions. Barr ran over 10 seconds faster (22:16) than she did last year at the Lock Haven Invite.
Jenna Barnett moved into second all-time and became only the second Pioneer woman to break 23 minutes in the 6k, crossing the finish line at 22:48.
Katie Hicks ran herself into 3rd all-time with a time of 23:42 while
Abby Dixon (24:55) is now 6th all-time,
Hannah Rowan (25:09) is 7th all-time and
Kamryn Armstrong finishes out the all-time list at #10 with a time of 26:20.
Hannah Hill ran a personal best at 26:28.

As a team, the Pioneers finished 15th out of 29 teams and 4th out of six MEC schools. GSU finished in front of the host Lock Haven Bald Eagles, who entered the race as the No. 8 ranked region team.

The Men
Glenville State's men were paced by
Patrick Reilly, who finished 32nd overall and was the second-highest finishing freshman in the field. Reilly is now 5th all-time and his time of 25:42 in the 8k is the fastest since 1988 in GSU history.
Nick Pitchford placed 59th, crossing at 26:07, which is now 7th all-time.
Jackson Mallett (129th, 27:19),
Dylan Blackshire (161st, 27:59) and
Daniel Kargol (174th, 28:21) all recorded personal bests. Other Pioneer finishes included
Bryan Utt (165th, 28:03) and
Caden Davis (173rd, 28:21).

The Pioneers will return to the course on Oct. 12, traveling to Pittsburgh, Pa. for the Carnegie Mellon Invite.
