GLENVILLE, W.Va. – The Glenville State Women's Soccer team lost in a very physical conference matchup against Concord tonight, 5-1. The Pioneers fall to (3-4, 1-4 MEC).
1st Half
In the first half, Concord took the lead early and didn't look back. The Pioneers were out shot by the Mountain Lions in the first half by eight shots. The ten shots that Concord had allowed them to end the half with four goals.
2nd Half
In the second half, Glenville State looked to be more physical and tried to get momentum rolling when they scored a goal at the 66-minute mark. The Pioneers eight shots in the second half gave them plenty opportunities to score, but they couldn't manage to find the back of the net for the remainder of the game, giving Concord the win, 5-1.

Concord
Marika Svenson had a hat trick in today's game and led the Mountain Lions in goals with three, shots with six and shots on goal with three. Jessica Neville and Taryn Kelly also had a goal each for Concord. Leah Fleming had Concords solo assist in today's game. Gabby Griffith did her best to keep the Pioneers from scoring with her four saves in the win.
Glenville State
The Pioneers only goal today came courtesy of Valentina Quiroz. Three different Pioneers led the team in shots with two apiece. Aitanna Viejo led the team with two shots on goal. Anjolie Colon provided the Pioneers with two saves in tonight's game.
