SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – The Glenville State Volleyball team lost their final two games of the Ram Rumble today, falling to Shepherd, 3-0, and Bowie State, 3-0.
Rita Kelly was selected to the All-Tournament Team for her performance over the course of the four contests at Shepherd.
Game One – GSU 0 | SU 3
Shepherd took control of the match early, cruising to a set one victory, 25-8, before rolling in set two, 25-9. The Pioneers made it much closer in the third set, however the Rams were too much for the entirety of the set, winning 25-16 and sweeping GSU in the match, 3-0.

The Rams were led by Sydney Babb's nine kills and both Joi Fairweather and Sophia Ryan producing seven kills. Macy Buso finished with 23 assists and added six kills to her totals. Madigan Faircloth led the team in digs (11) and service aces (four) in the win.
Glenville State
Malerie Ross produced six kills, followed by
Rita Kelly's four.
Sadie Hill notched 10 assists and
Isabella Bailey was first on the team in digs with seven.
Game Two – GSU 0 | BSU 3
The Pioneers went on a 6-0 run in the middle of the first set, eventually putting themselves up 20-14. However, Bowie State went on a run of their own, outscoring Glenville State 11-2 to end the set and claim the stanza. The second set was just as back and forth as the first set but BSU once again found a way to close out the Pioneers, 25-21. The Bulldogs scored six of the final nine set points in the third stanza, breaking a 19-19 tie and claiming the set, 25-22, and the match, 3-0.

Bowie State
Nina Edwards was first on the team in kills (11) and blocks (five). Madyson Brinson and Shaska Davis added six kills each for the Bulldogs. Davis and Taylor Johnson were productive on the defensive side, recording nine digs each.
Glenville State
Rita Kelly (13 kills) and
Malerie Ross (10 kills) led the Pioneers offensively. Setter
Sadie Hill racked up 21 assists and tied for the team high in digs with seven.
