GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State Wrestling is slated to have another nationally ranked matchup when they travel to No. 16 Ashland tomorrow (Jan. 17). GSU & AU have met twice historically with Ashland winning last season and the Pioneers being victorious in 2022-23.

THE OPPONENT
ASHLAND
The Eagles are (6-1) in duals this year, only losing to No. 10 Pitt-Johnstown in late November. Ashland last wrestled on Sunday, defeating Kentucky Wesleyan and No. 13 Lake Erie. The Eagles flaunt six nationally ranked wrestlers, headlined by Nate Barrett, who's #5 in the 165-pound class. AU is expected to wrestle all of their nationally ranked Eagles.
THE PIONEERS
GLENVILLE STATE
The Pioneers come in (11-4) in duals, previously going (3-2) at the NWCA National Duals with two victories over No. 10 West Liberty and No. 24 Upper Iowa. GSU comes in with nine wrestlers nationally ranked with
Gavin Quiocho (133) and
Hayden Pummel (174) still holding onto No. 1 status in their respective weight classes.
