BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Glenville State Wrestling sixth-year head coach
Dylan Cottrell has been tabbed Mountain East Conference Co-Coach of the Year, the league announced. Cottrell shared the award with West Liberty's Danny Irwin.
Cottrell, who has now won four MEC Coach of the Year awards, led the Pioneers to a seventh-place finish at Nationals, second-consecutive Super Regional championship, and a second-place finish at MECs. Cottrell had six grapplers qualify for Nationals and four earn All-American status, which tied last year's program record. He also coached the MEC Wrestler of the Year,
Nick Johnson, who was the national runner-up at Nationals.
