Barr Headlines Pioneers Strong Finish to Regular Season at Carnegie Mellon

CLINTON, Pa. – The Glenville State Cross Country teams wrapped up their regular season yesterday (Oct. 11) at the Carnegie Mellon Invite, finishing off strong as Natalie Barr broke her own school record and won the women's race while the men saw two top 10 performances with Nick Pitchford and Patrick Reilly

NEW SCHOOL RECORD
Along with winning the Carnegie Mellon race, Natalie Barr broke her own school record again at 17:06!

HOW THE PIONEERS FINISHED
The Women
The girls demolished the all-time lists along with their strong race. Jenna Barnett improved her second all-time placement with a time of 17:42. Katie Hicks moved up on the all-time list to third with a time of 18:39 as well as Abby Dixon, who is fifth all-time, with 19:02. Ella Austin also made her appearance on the all-time list at 10th with a time of 19:49. Some other PR's for the girls side are Morgan Ruggles (19:53) and Kamryn Armstrong (20:51).

The Men
The men had a strong finish to their regular season before heading into the conference championship. Nick Pitchford, now tied for second all-time, had a time of 25:05 and placed 6th. Patrick Reilly (10th place) followed Pitchford and is now third all-time with a time of 25:12.Jackson Mallet jumped the all-time list as well, moving up to seventh with a time of 26:01.Some other PRs were Luke Barr (26:56), Landon Griffith (27:18), Elijah Armes (28:12), Darius Gray (28:37) and Trent Hinkle (37:07).

Up Next For The Pioneers
The Pioneers turn their attention to the MEC Championship in two weeks (Oct. 25) at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling.
