BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Glenville State Women's Soccer delivered a dominant performance Wednesday afternoon, cruising to a 7–0 victory over the Salem Tigers at The Bridge Sports Complex. The Pioneers struck early and often, scoring three times in the first half and adding four more after the break to secure their fourth win of the season.
1st Half
Glenville wasted no time setting the tone. In the 14th minute, Jaina Munoz opened the scoring with her first goal of the season, assisted by Valeria Duque. Just over a minute later, Solares Solano buried a strike to make it 2–0. The Pioneers continued to control possession and pile on pressure, outshooting Salem 18–1 in the first half. Right before the break, Aitana Viejo found the back of the net in the 44th minute to give Glenville a commanding 3–0 lead at halftime.
2nd Half
The second half was more of the same as Glenville's attack stayed relentless. Solano netted her second of the match in the 55th minute to make it 4–0, followed by a goal from Valentina Quiroz in the 59th. Martina Roig added her first career goal off another Valeria Duque assist in the 71st minute, and Viejo capped the scoring with her second of the day in the 79th, assisted by Natalia Bernal. Glenville's defense smothered Salem throughout, limiting the Tigers to just one shot all match to notch the 7-0 victory.
