GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State athletes
Nwando Okigbo and
Anthony Garrett have been tabbed
GoMart Pioneers of the Week, the GSU Athletic Department announced.
Okigbo, a sophomore out of Anambra, Nigera, averaged 12.5 PPG and 12.0 RPG in the Lady Pioneers two wins at the Carol Eckman Memorial Classic, helping lead GSU to wins over defending PSAC champion Kutztown and West Chester. Okigbo notched 12 points, 11 rebounds, three steals and one assist against Kutztown while putting together a statline of 13 points, 13 rebounds, four blocks, two assists and one steal versus West Chester.

Garrett, who wrapped up his playing career in a Pioneer uniform on Saturday, threw for 362 yards and five touchdowns in football's 56-16 win over West Virginia Wesleyan. The Detroit, Mich. Native connected with four different receivers for his scores while also running for 35 yards on the ground.
