ALLENDALE, Mich. – The No. 10 Glenville State Wrestling team won two of three duals in the GVSU Quad hosted by Grand Valley State, as the Pioneers fell to No. 9 St. Cloud State, 27-12, but came back with a 30-17 win over Findlay and a thrilling 22-19 victory over No. 21 Grand Valley State.
 
With nearly half the lineup featuring reserves in the opening dual, the Pioneers fell behind in the first two matchups against SCSU but Ethan Hardy and Gabe Onorato rounded up back-to-back wins. From there, St. Cloud State took control of the match before Colby Whitehill put a few more points up on the board at the end of the match.
 
Against Findlay, GSU used consecutive wins in the middle of the match and a pair of wins in the backend of the dual, including a 46-second pinfall by Nick Johnson, to secure their first win of the day.
 
In a lineup that boasts four returning All-Americans, Grand Valley State stormed back to tie things up at 19 all heading into the final match with Colby Whitehill and the nation's fourth-ranked heavyweight wrestler, Carter Blough. Whitehill won by decision, 9-4, as he secured the Pioneers 22-19 dual win over 22^nd ranked GVSU.
